    Hi Dane!

I just finished your audio book this weekend and it was freakin’ amazing. :) I just have to say a big THANK YOU! It really changed my thinking and the pDNA was so insightful.

It’s funny, this was the first time I’ve ever used an audio book, and after it was finished it was like saying goodbye to a friend because you had been talking to me all weekend long. ha! :)

    Hey Dane!

I think too that we just need to focus on not becoming a “grumpy” and blaming the economy, the president, etc. We need to stay strong and let our clients now that our value is still there! Maybe we can find a way to help them as they too are going through the rough times? Add something like an engagement session to your package to encourage clients to go with you and show them that you are doing your best to help them as well. This will bring business and also let you feel good for doing something to help someone else.

    Dane -

Great video! We are always reminding ourselves that when things don’t look that great out ahead, we force ourselves to look behind and see what we’ve come through and what we’re so blessed to have. One great link I’ve seen recently about small business ownership is a man named Ed King. He is the Director of Small Business at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Take 90 seconds and take a look! Enjoy and keep up the great work!

    I hear you there!
I know that despite how my day job gets me down and prevents me from marketing myself as a photographer, I am grateful the my wife & I are well employed.
…especially now that at 40 years old, I’m gonna be a 1st time Dad!
Knowing that I have a good job and a clear goal as a photographer, as well as having a wonderful wife and a soon to be complete family of my own makes me a happy guy despite my daily worries & doldrums.

    Great post!

    Aloha Dane,
thanks for the great tips, it’s hard to be positive when everywhere you look there is bad news as a wedding photographer. thanks for keeping it simple and we count our blessing one day at a time. one step closer to becoming a signature brand photographer in Hawaii. Big mahalos, for all that you do.

    Hi Dane,

I want to thank you for your kindness and taking time to help others. I appreciate your advice and the knowledge you share with us all. I cannot wait to meet you at your workshop in Houston!!! I did not know where to ask this question and I hope it is alright that I am posting here. However, I was wondering if you could answer a question for me? When starting a business, do you recommend establishing the business under a Limited Liability Corporation or as a Sole Proprietor?

    Thank you for your help,
    Leslie Cervantez

Some people have no idea how much they can change someone else’s life and how much inspiration they can provide. I came accross your site through an article in DPS and, wow!, am I glad I did. The first video of yours I saw was the one about why you became a photograper and it trully touched my life. Through it and after watching your online portfolios I have a new respect for photography… You have an admirer in Puerto Rico! :o)

  12. Sir David Esquire Says:

    Hey Dane,

It’s very true indeed & tough to do as well at times. Like my pastor pointed out that even with our country being in a slump, we’re still hundreds of times richer than most countries as a whole. Not to mention our state being such a HUGE amount of the US’ wealth too.

Thank you for continually sharing your thoughts, your life & your wisdom with us – cheers!
